Life's Too Exciting Not to Be Awesome!
Weekend update: special edition
Tuesday:
got up early (couldn’t slee)p and got ready for my flight. On virgin Atlantic fucking awesome. Blue and pink lights, can we say “hipster?”
Land and catch a super sweet Bart. Screams, needs wd40, this bart seriously needed some service to quiet it the hell down.
Chill in a coffee shop and check out Valencia around alex’s house. Pretty fucking awesome.
Finally my buddy is back from work
now we can start to party.
Delicious Japanese food and then off to drinking.
Tanner shows up! Sweet.
Watched scanner darkly.
Went to south American club, some thing else and then club (Badlands) in Castro
ha awesome. Met some super sweet people, especially Peter
good people good friends good times.
Wednesday:
Woke up, delicious bagles and coffee. Super sweet movie day! Inglorious (again), bourne identity, brick (recommendation of alex, really good). Poor alex works too much. Beers at the look out then dinner with alex and Peter at Indian veggie place. Alex has to work again (he better not be working on new yeArs). Went out to bars couldn’t get into the games because of lame people. But we did get to play pool which was a lot of fun. Crazy drunk couple. I lose it for us twice. Crashed and crashed hard.
Thursday (new years eve!!!):
Woke up late, again petro has to work a lot, got some coffee from Rodgers (Bali) read some economist and updated my blarg!
let’s see what the next 12 hours bring!
Roger’s Coffee is awesome! they had 20 different roasts from all over the world and you could pick the ones you wanted in your coffee and they make it for you right on the spot, real freaking cool.
Went running all around the city (like 11 miles) Went from Petro’s to the golden gate park, in and around the park, up a gigantic hill and back down to petro’s. Oh man the things I saw.
My legs are Still sore from that damn run
When I get back and shower, a most ridiculous new years is about to commence ![]()
Start out the night with a drive over to Berkley to go see Danner’s parents and their whole fancy New Years Eve party. Lots of important and interesting people and a psychic (odd). Stayed there a little late (oops) but had a great time! got out at about 11ish and rushed back over to the big city to go pick up Peter and head over to our first house party. Fucking ironic, we missed the countdown! we were parking
oh well the party was still fun. This I may begin is my first introduction to the LOCO, a rediculously good tasting drink that gets you fucked up on crack and alchohol, always a good decision.
Met a lot of Alex’s friends, cool people but after a while we decided to hit up the second party out in… Somewhere with delicious Crepes that were absofuckinglutely amazing. At about 4 we left Alex (faded beyond belief) for the Supper Club (kinda sucked) but it had some big beds and a bunch of people and it gave us something to do for our main goal which was to stay up till the Sun Rise ![]()
Finally make it to the goddamned morning and come up to the park just as a cop is scaring everybody out of the bushes, so we got prime seats. Waited around, brought in the new year with the rising of the sun, so tired at this point, and then went back and crashed, and crashed hard, hard hard. Dead tired.
Friday:
Slept almost all day
Caught a lunch somewhere in the middle at Harvey’s (really good food) and then slept some more.
Tried to see Avatar 3D at 10 but it was sold out, I couldn’t believe it. So we saw the 12 midnight showing instead, pretty trippy.
Saturday:
Fun, fun day. Woke up late (see a trend here?) got some delicious “breakfast” at Cafe Flores, they had an amazing hawaiian french toast on King’s hawaiian sweet bread, also they made eggs benedict on corn bread which was absolutely delicious. Then went over to meet up with Petro at his place.
Kind’ve an awkward dinner, because we just ate and it was a sit down dinner with Herman and his whole family and best friends, didn’t really feel like I belonged, but it was some pretty good conversation and Herman is an excellent Opera singer.
Went out for some drinks after with Peter and Alex and Herman’s daughter (only 20.. uhoh). Alex and her hit it off pretty well. My mind was blown for most of the night, oops, but it was real fun though. Packed up in the evening to get ready for my early ass departure, honestly I don’t know why I booked it so damn early.
Sunday:
Got up early, went to the Bart, the fucker was closed so I caught another cab all the way the airport and got on my Virgin flight back home. I did not want to leave ![]()
Crashed at home had a great nap, fucked around on my NEW POWER RIZERS! and all in all had a great time. Still sooooo tired.
Summary:
What a week! What a week! I had the best time with family, old friends, new friends and a new city. I’m soooooo glad I went
