Monday
OMG so the first thing i notice when I get on my plane in Denver is, “Holy shit this is an old bird.” So I sit down at my seat and proceed to nap. Well Long story short (because the entertainment value of this story is pretty low) is that we sat in the stall for about an hour when they finally deboarded us due to a bad relay (pic for you who don’t know what this is)
You could totally tell as you walked by the cockpit that the thing was buzzing crazy, totally blown. Once we deplaned they kept giving us “updates” every 20 mins, “we’re sorry the part is being located”, “We’re sorry it was the wrong part”, “We’re sorry you flight has been canceled”
That last one didn’t come until 3 hours after we were supposed to leave. Finally at the point where they can rebook us and it turns out I have a slim to nothing chance of making a United flight that leaves in 15mins! So I boogey (read ran my ass off) cross terminal to go make it where I’m out of breath but the last one on the plane!
Totally awesome and its a direct flight so I only get in a little late
pretty cool adventure.
Tuesday
UGh, MEH nothing much to report
Wednesday
Happy birthday DANO!!
Thursday
Dano buys a ticket to come out tomorrow
to help us move. He’s crazy.
Friday
I get to pick up Dan today!!! Vroom Vroom!
Pick up Dan from the airport (LAX) on my motorcycle!
Actually turned out to be pretty sweet. We took the PCH down south to HB where we had sushi at RA pretty damn awesome.
When we get home, lo and behold there was the largest muther fucking truck I have ever seen for moving! This is the actual truck
Holy jesus it was gigantic! enough to move ten people not just 3. By the time we got home though we were way too tired to help move, which sucks but everything worked out in the end.
Saturday
The Big Move:
got everything that I own packed in a little under an hour and a half. Put it all into the truck (thanks dano) and left for Jon and Liz’s place (god damn you couches!). I got to drive all the way there. Where we picked up Jon and Liz and started off to our new home.
Honorable mention: Matt’s swoop and squat move on the freeway to allow me to change lanes because an ass hole wasn’t going to let me in. Way to go Matt!
Got there, unpacked and returned the truck by 1 pm, sweet! There was a lot more that went into it but its kinda boring so I’ll spare the details. Had no dinner
too tired, not even enough energy to go out at night, just slept and slept. Oh yeah, and this is the first glimpse that we have of where we are in relation to the closest grocery store, not close at all! Got some beer and snacks for our moving helpers.
Hot tub hot tub!
People tried to wake me up but I was having none of it.
Sunday
Got up in the morning and went to go work out with dan. It was the first time I’d been to the gym in a while.
Met up with Paulette and went to “The Circle” which is downtown orange, pretty cool, absolutely delicious breakfast. It was an old diner/fountain drink store. Also have to try out the Brazilian / mexican place that was right around the corner, supposed to be delicious. Went to World Market and found some stuff for the house (everything fits now in my bathroom) and I got a really really sweet book case.
And a chest of drawers (AKA Bureau)
Then a long drive to LAX
Then to Redondo Beach to pick up Melesant (that worked out well for becker
)
Had some of the most delicious beer in the absolute world!
Went to bed to get up at 6
I gotta get my bike back.
