Weekend Update May 10th – 16th: Lets go Vegas! WOOT!
Jun 3rd
Monday: I just want to get to vegas, had a great talk with the boss man on Saturday and I’m gearing up for my big changes.
Tuesday: Talked over my future of my life with my actual boss. He didn’t seem happy but also very supportive. i think they understand. Went out celebrating because it was a big step for me.
Wednesday: Woot woot! Tiff scored us some tickets to the Angels game! Matt Tiff and I all went out to the game after a shot of tequila and some beers (great idea). I also finished up a hefty task for work, so I was pretty happy.
Thursday: Less than amazingly motivated, but it’s my brothers (a little belated) Birthday, and I get to see him tonight to go out to dinner. He’s in town for some dental thing and It just worked out for tonight because I’m going to VEGAS tomorrow!
Friday: Work then to VEGAS!
Vegas was awesome, pictures are worth more than words…
Weekend Update May 3rd – 10th
Jun 3rd
Monday
monday… wait today is monday. Whoa it totally feels like friday, and I’m exhausted…
Came down stairs after finally finishing work at midnight to find out my bike was leaking way more gas than normal.. So I drove it home
Tuesday.. work is crazy, way too hectic to be alive. turned my bike over to the professionals to get a tune up and fix the leaking gas, it didn’t blowup. Rode my bike in for a nice relaxing ride until I hit the chaos of work. Lost was awesome! That was a good note on my day
Wednesday… the germans say everything is broken, I believe them, but I’m feeling less and less inclined to help them out. I work hard, but I feel like half of my day is spent keeping up with our ever changing infrustructure. Happy Cinco de Mayo to everybody but those of you in Arizona. To you, I say “Happy fifth of May” and “Watch out!”
Went to Sean’s bar for the celebrations, good times but I learned a very important lesson, do not, I repeat, DO NOT try to skateboard and play scrabble at the same time while drunk. Bad News Bears.
Thursday…
Friday…
Saturday… Had a great day with my boss ripping off all the insides of his car! pretty cool shit. I really enjoyed taking out the radiators and piping (pictures below). He’s got a really sweet electric car conversion of a porche. He bought an old Porche with a busted engine and just started tearing away until he got rid of all the crap you need to keep a combustion engine running (this is the stage we got to today). Now he’s just got to build a rack for this bad boy’s engine and hook it up to some heavy duty batteries.
After the car, Leo was awesome enough to take me to dinner with his family. We talked a bunch about the future and my job at MSC.. all in all a very very productive day. Finally at about 1 am I went home. Did I mention that his entire outdoor patio has FIRE all around it? it’s probably the coolest thing EVER!
Sunday
Weekend Update: April 12th – May 3rd
May 3rd
I’m a horrible blogger
the last couple of weeks have been quite fun but also very very busy at work. I guess I only missed three weeks but thats unacceptable.
Quick Re-cap with some photos!
weekend of 16th – 19th, spent with matt dan and sean going to hollywood, anaheim, and of course rock climbing (first time we used all my new gear) in Idyllwild! amazing time and pretty cool areas, although I have a lot to learn about rock climbing!
Went to Perris Park for a rock called Big Rock, to do some actual sport climbing, pretty damn awesome, led my first root ever that day!!!
Weekend of the 24th – 25th, spent most of my time pitching websites on saturday, got a lot of great leads.
I seem to remember partying some where, but its all a big blur.
This last weekend, I remember even less. I know we went to a party on saturday for Tiffany’s going away (she’s going to have an awesome time in Hawaii). and friday…. way too long ago and boring to remember. Sorry Friday. Maybe I went to haven?
Here’s a link to the album on Picassa: Rock Climbing

Saw how to train your dragon!
Monday
Becker got a call from the appartment complex about us being too roudy and offensive to guests! WTF?! Turns out it was just some one pretending to be from our appartment but it was totally unprofessional of her to accuse us with out getting her facts straight. We were pretty pissed.
Watched an awesome documentary on the making and breaking of Heaven’s Gate. Really good documentary about a director who had an unlimited budget to make a movie and totally screwed the production company over. And the movie wasn’t that good.
Picked up my Bike from the bike shop! brand spanking new handle bar grips! awesome! Haha, carried it home over my shoulder on my motorcycle, glad I didn’t get pulled over.
Tuesday
Woke up late and rode in beautiful day. Sean straightend everything out with the apartment complex but he was pissed!
Went to dinner at Lazy dog, pretty good burgers.
Had a nightmare about that stupid “The Ring” girl, God I hate that movie.
Wednesday
I hate SimManager, and I’m less fond of my job right now.
Thursday
A day I fealt I did nothing
and nobody was home last night. So lonely.
Friday
Work was meh but I was looking forward to a movie all day!! Woot!! Dragons and more dragons!! Got to the yard house finally!!!
Stone ipa makes my worries run away.
Dragon’s was amazing! One of the better Dreamworks plots / movies to date. I really loved the ending, I thought it was perfect. and the dragon reminded me of Kona
Saturday
Kind of a lonely day, went to the park 10 miles on my bike to read a book and go slacklining. I’m getting better at traversing, now if I could only do those pesky backflips.
At night we went to newport, I made a bunch of margarita’s and nobody but me wanted them… So I drank them ALL! uh.. oh….
Sunday
Watched iron man and went to lucyil’s for lunch! mmmm.
Cool day, went to an indian shop out in th middle of no where. Guy was a little nutty about some sort of magic math that was supposed to correct our souls but all in all pretty cool guy. Got some art work and trinkets for my desk.

First installment of my awesome climbing gear, got convinced to get a harness and beaners and cordellettes but I was still waiting on the rope (I wanted to use another 20% off coupon!)
Thursday
Went back for my rope! Sweet! Now I have a full set for top roping and all I need for lead is some know how and some quick draws!
Friday
Did absolutely nothing but finish Fall out 3 (at least the main story line) and sleep. Awesome!…. kinda, still pretty lame.
Saturday
Went out at night with Matt and Melissa and Sean to heaven, some absolutely amazing beers, but other than that a pretty mellow night. Poor sean has to work too much… like tomorrow for easter!
Sunday
Easter sunday brunch at Woodies! Thanks mellissa for getting us reservations!
Traveled around to mutts and sharkies. but woodies was the best.
Finished the night off (after a nice long nap) at club lucky, which was pretty fun.
Weekend update: march 20th -27th
Mar 26th
Hectic week this week. Been pounded by jetlag big big time. But I’m getting over it now.
Work has been pretty killer but way less stressfull than the last three to four weeks. So that’s good!
Played a lot of video games. Fallout 3 is awesome.
Had a very nerve racking meeting this morning (Friday) but it’s over now. All of Thursday night was chock full of angst because of that damn presentation and our horrible software.
Oh yeah and matts jeep got broken into. And so did my bike. They took a bunch of petty shit, nothing really of value. I’m only pissed at losing my biking gloves and tool kit because it’s a cold drive in in the morning.
But nothing can dash my hopes for this weekend!!!
Friday: dan met me at the airport and then we went to other john’s play; othello. That was pretty awesome to see him performing in such a stand up production. Unfortunately we could not get great seats and some of us got bored so we left at intermission. So we went out on the town to maloneys. Awesome place. And what made it even awesomer is that half of this large bar was jon and liz’s friends! It truely was increadible how many people jon knows. And howmany flew from so far away to meet him.
Saturday: day of the wedding!
Woke up, went to brunch with matt and Melissa and dan at an awesome 50s style diner in Denver. After matt and Melissa got settled into thier hotel. Got ready and then off to the wedding!
Chapel was really nice, and the ceremonies were quite good. The after party (aka reception) was absolutely awesome
Food was amazing and dancing was a lot of fun! Party lasted till midnight when we all left for a club. Club was ok but everyone was quite tired, so I think we all retired early.
I really should get better at taking pictures.
Sunday, a day of rest and awesome.
Mar 14th
Ok so Sunday was a lazy day. Very nice to catch up on some rest and be able to reflect on my trip.
Got up early and had a delicious bkfast then went to the gym to try to work off said breakfast.
Decided to go out on the town today to get a late lunch / early dinner. And definitely some good beer.
Omg on the train I saw some super hightops. First time since the eighties!!!
What ever I do I can not get a German to smile back at me. And if they do.. They ain’t German. I’m not saying they’re not nice, quite the contrary, they just will not smile. Ugh.
Oh I found wiesse beer house again and got a seat today! Tried 3 times yesterday. I have to say the square is almost dead compared to yesterday.
This is the place recommended by gregor
omfg it is so delicious!! I was going to write about how I thought German beers were good but they did not compare to American micro brews (hey that’s an easy word to type) but this avenitus eisbock is god damned rediculously amazing!! It helps that it has 12% but it’s as good as a wine in it’s own right.
Oh man this beer is going to put me on my arse.
Oops forgot to punch my ticket. Oh well.
Walked all the way Down seldlinger to seldlinger tor and oft wasn’t too bad. Then I took the train back because it was efing cold.
Ugh I’m boring. Drinking beer and playing plants vs zombies (a game) while in one of the most famous German beer houses.
Epiphany and word to the wise. If it seems like what you want to do is outside of your comfort zone of against the cultural norm. Then just pretend you are a foreiner. Like if you want to talk to a girl but it seems intrusive. Just throw on an accent and have at it. I garentee there will be no hard feelings.
So, at the irishpub there were, you guesses it, lots of drunken people. There. It was a good time but not nearly as good as our first night out with the Irish. I don’t know if it was the ghetto or just being pure Irish but those kids were awesome. This bar, meh, ok but not Irish amazing.
- They can stack their cars! Talk about efficient!
- One of the best beers I've had
- I'm not sure but I don't think we wear this
- If you look closely you can see that the band was singing with a Bottle for a mic.
Saturday, an awesome day :)
Mar 13th
Ok so after last nights debachle xim ready for a much better day. Had an awesome breakfast, great shower. Even used my sweet German to buy my self a train ticket

Oh man I’m soo good
I’m gonna try and find the German musem and hoffen brauhaus. And what ever other adventures I can run across. Hopefully I can meet some other really cool people like I did last time
Nice! An outdoor bier! I love it! even in the cold!
Omfg I fucking found hofbrauhaus! Accidentally! (I thought it was hoffen brauhaus but I was wrong)
Ok nuts to farve, fuck a liter of cola! Gimme a liter of beer!
Met some interesting people at Hofbrauhaus, a girl from Canada (who went to school in Florida) who was in Austria for professional Volley Ball, and a Guy who lives in Austria who took her out to Munich to watch a Football game (the Europe kind, not the American kind). Oh the guy went to Kansas state or something (in the USA) so he had no accent what so ever. both pretty cool people and shared our table with us.
Also met some girls from somewhere south in Italy. Some island that I had never heard of. They had flown up for a couple of weeks, something to do with school, their english was good but not great and my Italian is non existent.
Spent some more time wondering around the city before I found Paulaner Brauhaus.

Charlie
Steve
Amazing guys.
These guys had the great idea to start a ski school in the most poverty stricken area of Kashmir (well in the mountains close to there). The idea is to start a yearly trip that will allow the students to take on more and more responsibility year by year eventually giving them something they can run by them selves. Charlie and Steve are based out of Durango Colorado and got this idea while in college, and basically went from lust to fruition in 9 months, I don’t know how they did it but they did. The eventual goal, as they explained to me while being quite drunk, is to first try to break down some of the cast system between the kids by introducing some richer kids in a year or two. Then, secondly, way far in the future, they would like to introduce girls into the program, but even they admitted that was a long way off.
I fully support these guys and hope you take a look at their site: http://www.Skis4kashmir.org they have sunk a lot of money and time and soul into this project, they have done a great job. One interesting tidbit they told me was that almost all of the kids there were completely out of shape. Not necisarily in the obese way but they had a lot of accidents with twisted ankles and knees from inflexibility and general being not fit.
Now I know why all the brauhauses were so busy. The munich game is starting at 7:30. That’s where steve and Charlie went. That would be awesome to go to a Football match here in the city, I should have gotten tickets.
So there was a shouting match between some guys who liked Frieburg (the opposing team) and some guys who liked Munich (home team). Pretty funny and pretty damn loud. Awesome.
Paulaner, hof, augustiner brauhaus. All awesome, all great beer, all in my belly.
Disco p/1 I did not go but I heard it was good, maybe I’ll check out some clubs later this week.
I ended up my night at Killian’s Irish pub which was combined with an Australian Bar. On the TV they had a Rugby match, and for the life of me, after watching this thing for an hour, I could not understand one damn rule of the game. It is an odd sport. Kind of like cricket, but a lot manlier.
I Ended up my night kind’ve early back at the hotel room pretty exhausted. Thinking about going out later in the night but probably not.
